Apart from my standard operatic and Party charm bracelet repertoire, I have always had a warm spot for Jewish music, but in particular, for the music of the Holocaust. Thus was the program, Singing for Survival: "From Holocaust to Hope," conceived. This musical education program comprises the beautiful songs Tiffany Red heart lock charm and bracelet composers who wrote in the ghettos and concentration camps. A narrator provides the historical background for the music and the composers, and a Paloma's Zellige bracelet accompanies me as I sing. The majority of these composers, mostly professional musicians, did not survive. It is hard to grasp that creativity held on, even where the human body could not. My program opens with the song "Es brent" ("It Burns") by Mordechai Return to Tiffany heart lock charm and bracelet, written in 1938 after a pogrom. Ironically, this song proved prophetic of the horrors that were to come, and was sung in the ghettos.
