There's Pop Warner football and E Charm, in-line hockey, soccer, there's a variety of dance and gymnastics studios in town." Both a dancer and a gymnast, Kathryn combined academics and athletics while growing up. As a cheerleader, she made sure she kept a high grade-point average. "I still lettered my senior year, F Charm was my goal." Although she wanted to run in the pageant when she was in high school, she didn't want to jeopardize her academic standing. "I wanted my focus to be on my G Charm. And when I ran and if I won, I wanted to be available to dedicate the time that is necessary to the community." Being Miss Yuma County does require a time commitment, which she'll do between school, her two jobs at NAPA Auto Parts and Dance Etc. and her work with the H Charm Catholic High School cheer team. "She'll prepare to run in the Miss Arizona pageant in June.
