Dozens more watched from a parking lot across the street. Michael DeGiorgis bought Links of London a soda and a book to settle in for a long wait. His car was stuck in a parking lot being used by helicopters as a landing pad, he said. DeGiorgis, who works for a cell phone company in the mall, said employees first were told that there was a situation with the Sheriff's Department in the mall, but that it seemed like "no big deal." A short time later, mall security told him that "a guy had covered himself in kerosene and lit himself on fire," DeGiorgis said. He was in the Links of London Raindance Necklace of a sale, however, so he stayed in the store for a few minutes. Then, law enforcement personnel came in and told him to lock up and get out, he said. "With the snap of a finger, it turned almost into a panic," DeGiorgis said. A Hill District man was convicted today in the homicide of a woman and her Links of London Raindance Silver Pendant fetus. Deaundra Williams had been charged with the shooting death of his cousin and the death of her unborn child. Common Pleas Judge Anthony Mariani convicted him of two counts of third-degree murder for the Nov. 28, 2008, shooting death of Shalane Graham and her 8- to 10-week-old fetus. The suspect presented no defense at the nonjury trial. The judge said earlier that Assistant District Attorney Julie Capone needed to show that Mr. Williams knew his cousin was pregnant. The trial began Monday before Judge Mariani in connection with the fatal shooting in an apartment on Burrows Street in the Links of London Teddy Charm District. It was reported in a harrowing call to 911 on.
