Half of the registration fees go to the Butte Y, while the other half will be awarded to the top three teams. The teams, in turn, will give the money to a local charity of their choice. The YMCA is also hoping to raise one pound of food for each pound lost during the challenge. Vincent said the Y will lead weekly workout sessions from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturdays at the Butte Plaza Mall where prize drawings will be held. Weekly prizes include iPods, televisions, yoga equipment, treadmill, weights, tennis shoes and runners' watch. The top individual Links of London Dice Charm at the end of the contest will receive a Wii-Fit. It is sponsored in part by The Montana Club, Perkins, Metals Sports Bar, Great Harvest and Coca-Cola of Butte.A man struck a gun-wielding robber in the face and wrestled him to the ground before escaping uninjured, police said. It was one of three robberies that occurred in the city Sunday night, police said. The robbery occurred just before 11 p.m. when two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed the 21-year-old victim, who was at an ATM at Northside Shopping Center. When the robbers approached him and demanded money, the victim emptied his pockets, police said. After one of the robbers told him to withdraw more money from the machine, the victim struck him and wrestled the robber to the ground. A witness told police the robbers ran to the southwest, where they got into a vehicle and drove off.
